Emma Raducanu was blighted by blisters in her second-round victory over Camila Osorio

On a hot and humid afternoon, the U.S. Open winner completed the win in two hours and 50 minutes

Both players required medical timeouts to manage blisters during the error-strewn contest before the world number 10

For me it was a pretty monumental effort to really get through that," Raducanu said

The world number 13 began to struggle in the second set

The second-seeded Raducanu took a medical time-out late in the second set to get treatment from a trainer for blisters on her racket-wielding right hand.

Raducanu was better in the tiebreaker, closing out the victory when Osorio sent a service return wide.

After the players met for a hug at the net, Raducanu appeared to be too exhausted for a full wave to the crowd on what Yoshihito Nishioka called a "crazy hot day"
